It was 1873 the year when Jacob Davis and Levi Strauss made blue colored trousers with denim or dungaree cloth. Initially, they were worn by factory workers, as they were a durable and comfortable style of pants. Men's jeans had the zipper on the front while women's has the zipper on the side. Then, during the time of World War II, high waist jeans and overalls were ordered to dress the American Army. In the 1960's, men and women began to style their every day looks with jeans, low rise and with zippers on the front.
Like every invention, they took time to be valued as a fashion, and to be considered a fashionable item, they were modified many times. In fact, Levi Strauss would call them "waist overalls" instead of jeans. It was after the film Rebel Without a Cause, with the actor James Dean, that jeans were considered a symbol of youth rebellion.

For that reason, it was 1960 the year when everybody wanted to own a pair of jeans. Men, women, babies, even the old, considered jeans to be an essential apparel.
As shown by the various ads, jeans were the talk of the town. Jeans. Jeans. Jeans. Jeans. Jeans. Jeans. Jeans. Jeans.
