Women like to have control of their image of elegance and sophistication because it allows them to have a a standard of beauty which determines what that look good on them. While watching a Disney movies, playing with a doll, or learning from a mother, women learn that style is created by trusting on your own judgement of beauty. It all begins with asking the famous question "mirror…mirror... on the wall... who is the most beautiful of them all". When looking at their reflection, every women will make sure that their look makes them feel attractive. Whether it is the combination of fabrics, the style of their hair, the shine of their make-up or the type of their clothes they are wearing, women will feel beautiful if what they see meets the standards they set for themselves. Based on a personal experience, I know that I will not believe what others tell me, if I myself don't feel/know that their comments are true. Although this may also apply to anything in life, when it comes to my personal style and image of beauty, I know which elements work in my favor to make me feel elegant and sophisticated. I have learned that feeling beautiful is an art. Think of your body as a canvas in which you will your perception of beauty if the message you want to convey on yourself. The tools that you will use are clothes, make-up and accessories. All together they will polish your body to make it look the best way possible.
The reason why I choose to write about this topic is given that I have noticed that many women determine their image of beauty based on the standards shown on magazines or television. I believe that these ideals do not apply to a women's personal style because who should make you feel beautiful if yourself. You are responsible of your life and of your happiness, and for that reason you should also be the ruler of your perception of beauty. This is important given that feeling beautiful if an attitude that connects your emotions and physical appearance as they are working together to produce a state of satisfaction with who you are and how you are.
