I don't know if it is because of the varied menu, the service, the presentation, or the fact that I love breakfast styled food, but there is no other brunch, like the one at Sarabeth's.
For those who are new to the name, Sarabeth's is a restaurant founded by Sarabeth Levine who in 1981 rescued a 200 year old family recipe of Orange Apricot Maramalade to sell to local food shops. It was from the success of that product, that Sarabeth began to operate a jam factory with the help of her husband and business partner, Bill Levine. After that humble start, they now own nine restaurants and a wholesale-retail bakery café.
Given her first intake in the food business, Sarabeth has demonstrated that she makes food with love and care. This is shown by the titles in of the food such as Goldie Lox, One Great Burger, Salmon Eggs Benedict, or Morning Crunch, all of which are found in the brunch menu.
When a friend or family members visit me in New York, I will with no doubt take them to eat at Sarabeth's (and as previously stated, I will suggest to them to go eat brunch).
